The International Bill of Human Rights
The International Bill of Human Rights comprises the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. In the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, Article 2 (1), it is stated that each State Party to the present Covenant undertakes to respect and to ensure to all individuals within its territory and subject to its jurisdiction the rights recognized in the present Covenant, without distinction of any kind, such as race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. That to me implies every human being is guaranteed religious freedom. Malaysia is party to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.Refer to Love and Compassion - that is what every Malaysian should practice to see how well Malaysia is living up to the Convention to which Malaysia is a party to.
Anyone who would like to support this are encouraged to take a digital photo of your own version of a candlelight vigil and attach it to an email to
add a message if you wish, and we will do the rest. You may also let me know if you want other just causes you would like to support with a candlelight vigil of your own.
